Sunday's episode was amazing.

Manipulation central, with Dexter hoodwinking Miguel and Rita, and Deb being led around by the new detective guy and the chick from IA.

I finally saw the last 2 episodes, so I can look at this thread again... yay! It's been taunting me in the 'new replies' link.

Dexter has been given a 4th and 5th season.

YESSSSSS

SPOILERS

He did not make a kill room, no plastic, no blood trophy, and he even said to hell with the code.

He seemed less the heroic figure and more the cold blooded killer.  True, he was killing a detestable person, but not another killer.

Yeah, that was an interesting kill. I feel like he killed him the same way many dads would, if they found a pedo stalking their daughter. I wonder if he disposed of the body the same way?

His manipulation of Miguel was awesome...

OK: predictions -- Obvious: Miguel eventually finds out, and digs up the grave. Shit hits fan.

Not obvious: Dex's dad killed himself because he was also a serial killer, not because he was disgusted with Dexter.
Strange women lying in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government.

My prediction:

Dexter will eventually reveal himself to Miguel in some way, by choice or by accident.

Miguel will not be disgusted, and will instead want to help Dexter, recognizing that he is only killing others like him.

I'm wondering how the bloody shirt comes into play. Dexter has incriminating evidence against Miguel, plus the whole subplot of Miguel sending that one guy to prison wrongfully.

My theory is that Miguel finds out about Dexter, or eventually reveals Dexter killed Freebo. Dexter then uses Miguel's lost credibility for that wrongful imprisonment case and the shirt to frame Miguel to shut him up.

Don't forget the killer that is doing that square skinnig deal...I bet it's Miguel.

Really?

Huh. Could be I guess, but Dexter can usually spot them pretty easily, and he has spent a ton of time with Miguel.

Finished Season Two, Disk Two last night.

It's a real tribute to Michael C. Hall's acting talent that he can go right from one outstanding performance in Six Feet Under to another, totally different, sort of role as Dexter.
If you still hold the same views now as you did in high school, you probably should reexamine those views.

I love Dexter.

Season 2 is far superior, Season 1 just had way too much atrocious acting for me to get into it.

Never watched it....when does it come on?

You really should see it from the beginning. If you start watching now in season 3 there's quite a lot you've missed.

I recommend you pick up season one on dvd (or pirate it or something). You won't regret it.
