eta: @lorry: Academic Decathalon, actually. And a math competition in elementary school. My AD team never did too well, we were all a bunch of slackers, but we were very nerdy slackers.

It was basically a day-long academic testing thing, that you got medals for if you did well. There were 10 subjects covered. It was pretty awesome and I wish I'd been more disciplined regarding it. It was the only after-school activity I could do in high school, due to the whole poor thing.
