I dont really see alot of 'all-in-ones' that compete with the Mac, or even try (for that matter, I dont even know alot of people that own all-in-ones unless you consider laptops, which are a different category).

I'm supprised that it was rated the highest tho as I've heard better things about the Sony all-in-ones (tho they are expensive)..

I'd be more curious on Laptop..

From Amazon (prices) (I went with the first one listed, i'm sure (with the exception of Mac, as I believe Apple sets the price) you could find better prices with shopping)..

15.4 inch budget: Lenovo ThinkPad T61 - $864.99
15.4 inch workhorse: Apple MacBook Pro - $1,949.99
17 inch workhorse: Apple MacBook Pro - $1,999.99
13.3 inch slim-and-light: Sony VAIO VGN-SZ780  - $1,499.00

Again.. Never said Apple puts out crap.. its solid, no doubt.

But expensive... in comparision to other systems..  Upside (maybe worth the cost??) don't need to run Vista if your not a tech geek that feels comfortable installing Linux (and doing the appropriate upfront checking to make sure that getting drivers is easy and not a problem)..

I love my iMac, and I've been an apple user for years.

I think in the 11 years I had them I had one get the sad mac face on me, that same one also got the question mark. So that died.

I only had one crash on me when I f*cked extension in OS Classic. I havent any issue with OS X as of yet. Need a larger hard drive but then again who doesnt want one?

I had a PC at one point. My brother after an hour completely killed mine. My mom, a technotard and my brother have yet to kill  a mac.

But dear god, yes they are expensive. My new Mac is 3,200. But I doubt I will need to do serious upgrade to it for several years (4 or so probably closer closer to five depending on some unforeseen factors).

My opion of a Window, is that it doesnt like its user where as a Mac does. I get an over all happier experience with a Mac then I do with a PC.
