I think it's a really good idea to do a post like this every once in a while regardless of how many times it has come up in the past.

Every time we do lists like this, I find out about 10-20 podcasts to try.

I work alone. Listening to podcasts and audiobooks while I work helps to keep me sane.

I pasted together a couple of screen shots of my podcast list from work.

-SGU - obviously
-The Onion Vodcast
-RadioLab - can be a bit 'lah de dah' but worth listening to imho
-Nature Podcast - science news

BBC Stuff .. most BBC stuff isnt on at the moment..grr
-In our time - history mostly.
-Friday night comedy - very funny
-More or less - definitely worth listening to .. consider it the skeptics guide to math and statistics in the news.

ABC stuff (Australian content .. probably much of it is local stuff that is not interesting/'fast-forwardable' for foreigners)
- The Science Show - more science news
- The Philosopher's zone
- Ockham's Razor - short science news etc
- health report with Norman Swan - medical research news
- In conversation - science conversation, mostly just Australian stuff which is mostly inconsequential internationally.
- background briefing - in depth background to news stories
- late night live with Phillip Adams - kinda cookie old socialist interviewer with often very interesting interviews. not for those with short attention span but perhaps worth a try.
- media watch (vodcast) - investigates the media and the stories they covered during the week.. sort of a 'media skeptic' show. The stories themselves are probably not very interesting for foreigners but I think it is the sort of show that every country should have.
- catalyst (vodcast) 1/2 hr weekly science tv show, like Nova. - not available outside Australia (maybe with a proxy server)

.. I think thats all..

I subscribe to Skeptoid with a normal RSS-reader and read the transcript (which he has for all episodes) - faster and no need to listen to his rather monotonous voice. The information is really good but the presentation is abit lacking in the voice version.  (He was better in Here Be Dragons for instance http://herebedragonsmovie.com/)

I just recently started listening to The Skeptic's Guide, but for the past year I've been listening to http://www.nobodylikesonions.com/. It's a comedy podcast which isn't for the faint of heart, but that's it really. I used to listen to the BBC 6 Music podcast with Russell Brand but I don't anymore.

Here are our favorite podcasts. Thanks to all the participants!  ;D
(SGU is excluded; the y-axis represents percentages; n=24).

Between us, we listen to more than 200 podcasts! However, if we only consider the podcasts that have at least 2 listeners among us, the number drops down to 54. The n-sample (number of people participating) was 24 (however, I have the data saved, so the "poll" is still open :)).

Brilliant thread - thanks guys.
We have some converts converting other converts who are converting the original converts.
Surely true believers have a term for that.....?
