Hah! About five or so people in my school probably bought it.

Holy balls! they are doing it again.  $2.50 for TF2 until 1AM Pacific Time.

Having just got L4D2 I have a problem. Anyone know how to stop Zone Alarm having a fit? It won't run with ZA running, though it will run with ZA turned off. But it won't let me alt-tab out to deal with the ZA pop up. Anyone know how to deal with this?

Edit:

No, turns out this is wrong. Dealt with the ZA problem but it won't run anyway. It gets to the loading screen then crashes out to normal Windows like I never tried to run L4D2. Any ideas?

Are you using Vista or Windows 7? and if you are, are you running Steam/and or L4D2 Demo as admin? If not try that, also try checking for steam updates and restarting steam.

Obvious Steam is the way to go. Search King Wafflus the III if you want to add me.

Got it, if anyone is having similar problems.

Games tab > Right click the game, Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game cache...

Leave it to do it's thing for about 15 minutes > restart steam > run game > pick up machete > work out frustrations

I had to verify integrity for borderlands.   It's hilarious because I always through that thing was useless :P

That's another thing I love about steam.  I never see the old style bargain bins for PC games any more, so I love that steam will frequently have steeply discounted copies of old classics available.

The eidos deal, batman arkam asylum costs 50 bucks, it's down to 33... if you buy the eidos pack you get that game plus about 20 others (most of which are full games, about 5 are genuinely great games) for just 17 dollars more.  at 50 bucks.

That's mind numbing! >_<
