Moderation changes!

Boards now 50% less Overlordy!

The extra moderation status for two of the four boards that had special moderators, TV & Movies and Music, have been removed.  There really wasn't any reason for them to have special mods like that.

Welcome Karyn as Assistant Emperor!

Karyn has graciously accepted a position to moderate the two boards which still required moderation, Forum Games and Books.  I am sure she will be doing as excellent a job as we have come to expect.  Please give her your support!

The Mod Search Continues

I'm on the lookout for a small handful of mods to help me out with the fascinating, glamorous world of user approval and keeping the board safe from pictures of gangrene.  I'm not looking for volunteers (yet), but keep an eye on your PM box!

Welcome mindme As Third Perma-Mod!

Mindme has also graciously agreed to join the Moderation Team.  Thanks, mindme!  With his acceptance, the three-member Permanent Moderation Team is in place. 

Watch This Space on December 1

The two members who have agreed to be our first Moderators of the Month will take their places on December 1, and hold that position until January 1, when two new MotMs will be announced.

For the inaugural term of Moderator of the Month, I've chosen two people who have recently stood out as examples of how conscientious members of the community should act.  They are Funda62 and LeeTheAgent.  Please welcome and respect them in this role!

Karyn has done a fantastic job keeping the Books and Forum Games sections organized, and her opinions have been doing a good job keeping me honest and sane lately.  Since the reward for work well done is more work, I hereby announce that Karyn is now a full member of the Moderation Team.

Permamod Change

After a year of dedicated service, Neutral Milk has decided to give more of a priority to, like, real life and stuff.  I'd like to thank him wholeheartedly for his help in that time.  He was a great moderator, and I'll miss him.

Stepping up to the challenge of a permamod role is Pandamonium.  She's been one of the best Moderators of the Month/Quarter ever, and I'm very happy to have her on board on a more permanent basis.  Please give her grief your full support!
