Falloch - Where We Believe


Falloch are a band I discovered a few months ago.  I also saw them live in Dundee as well recently.  There were only about 40 people at the gig and I'm sure a number of those people were members of the various support bands but it was brilliant to here them play their début album in full.

Got a few little gems for you all.

First of all, Amadou & Mariam feat. Manu Chao - Senegal Fast Food. Amadou and Mariam are blind Malinese husband and wife singers. They recorded an album, Dimanche à Bamako, with the French singer Manu Chao. It's my ultimate summer album - transports me right back to the red sands of Mali whenever I listen to it - and Senegal Fast Food's one of my favourite tracks from it.

Secondly, Flemish rock band Triggerfinger covers Lykke Li's I Follow Rivers. They do so in a fantastically tender and fragile way. Oh, and vocalist and guitarist Ruben Block has some awesome facial hair.
