The steamroller was a serious threat in "A Fish Called Wanda" - but it was parodied as a threat (and seemed to be what Jay(?) was referring to) in "Austin Powers".

How's that for efficiency?  Thanks Mr. Internetz.

Why does Jay use such a strange voice when he does his accents?  I would be more impressed if he did it in his normal voice.

Looks to me that Pterodactyl is just a common name for pterosaur, which is common for a member of the order Pterosauria, not a specific species.

I won't vote in a best science blog award that has as the front runner a climate change denier blog. Waste of effort and giving legitimacy to those who don't deserve it.

Jay's naff English accent would be more amusing if it were more relevant to the way people speak today.  England is not full of lovable cockneys saying "'ello guv'nor, cor blimey, get up them apples and pears" and toffs in stately homes saying "By Jove, old bean".  This is just as mythical as London being foggy.  All based on old movies from the 50s and earlier.

Pharlyngia (I think that's spelt wrong, sorry) is in second place.

Can I just put my guess for Who's the Noisy? here? Although, I think it's wrong if it has to do with science, but maybe not.

The sound.

My guess.

So someone else check my math, but with the leap second thing, that means just 4000 years ago, days were about 48.7 minutes shorter than they are now.  That totally doesn't sound right.
