Is there a way of removing the tracking for this feature for a particular thread?

If I've posted once in a thread I no longer have any interest in, it shows up in this list and I have to keep visiting the thread to 'clear' it.

Minor annoyance (and probably indicative of some kind of OCD), but if there's a simple workaround that I'm missing, I'd appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

I reply in a lot of threads.  Whenever I lose interest in a thread, I just ignore it.  After i've gone through the list of the threads which I still have interest in,  I click a neat little button called "Mark all Messages as Read."  It's a life saver.  I usually have less than a page of threads to read, ever, and I reply in a lot of threads.

You can't delete your posts, so that's out.

That's for notification via email.

I think what the OP is referring to is the search list "Show new replies to your posts" which will have a list of all threads with new posts that the poster has commented in.

Aha, my mistake.

I don't think that would be a possible mod as it would take a significant rewrite of code to impliment the way the OP wants.  It is possible that future versions of SMF may move to that ability.  I'll ask about it over on the SMF support forums.

The link was FX's "Mark Messages As Read" that appears on on the top right everyone's screen whenever you click "Show unread posts since last visit" or "Show new replies to your posts".

This link, however, is user and search specific.  The link changes for each user each time they bring up the search page.  FX's would never work for any other user than himself.

Although, it was extremely considerate for FX to post an unidentified link that might have wiped out people's read posts history without posting some sort of warning.
