Dr. Imad Hassan..?

(1/1)

diabhal:
I received an odd bit of spam email yesterday (sent from info@commentarymktg.com), as it came through a former employee's account that forwards to my own admin account...

It's an advertisement for "Nothing: A View Through the Eyes of the Dead", by Dr. Imad Hassan, which is referred to as

--- Quote ---A philosophical treatise challenging Richard Dawkin's and Alister McGrath's writings.
--- End quote ---

Naturally, this intrigued me as I already knew who Dawkins and McGrath were, but I had never heard of Imad Hassan before. What I have learned about him so far is not very impressive, as he seems to be kind of crazy: http://www.shajaracode.com/index.html

For reference, here is the text of the email I received:

--- Quote ---In the beginning there was a confidant word: ‘There certainly is no God’..
On London buses the word got modestly muddled: ‘There is probably no God’…
So be ‘worried’ that soon the there may be a new ‘evolving’ word: there is certainly a God!
Have a look at the future through the Eyes of the Dead, you will certainly see NOTHING!

NOTHING: A VIEW THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD: Debating Dawkins’ and McGrath’s Delusion is author Dr. Imad Hassan’s Islamic tribute to Charles Darwin’s 200th birth anniversary, exposing the shortcomings of Oxford University professors Richard Dawkins and Alister McGrath, in misusing science and religion for personal agenda.

Controversial, confrontational, but intellectually engaging and enlightening, NOTHING: A VIEW THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD is the first Islamic challenge to Dawkins’ The God Delusion, deconstructs Dawkins’ poor knowledge on religions and the misuse of Charles Darwin’s name to promote his own atheist agenda. The book also reveals the failure of author-theologian McGrath to defend Christianity from atheist challenge.

Thoroughly well-discussed and well-argued, this erudite exposition examines the scientific limitations of the human mind to fully dissect evolution and the history of the universe, aside from exploring the metaphysical world and proving the existence of divine force before there was nothing.
--- End quote ---

Hassan seems crazy to me because he makes some pretty bizarre claims, such as "the process of evolution is described in a series of coded messages in the Qur’an", which sounds like just another version of the Bible Code or DaVinci Code nonsense...

Has anyone else here heard of this guy or perhaps know more on what he's all about?
