Of course not.  That was the flood, and its was only a few thousand years ago.

I'm actually not sure how I feel about this.  I'm obviously against not teaching evolution, just as I am adamantly against teaching creationism/ID in the classroom.  But, maybe parents should have a right to keep their children as ignorant as they are to not subject their children to teachings which are contrary to their religious beliefs.

Just like they should have the right to use prayer to heal their kid's life-threatening medical conditions instead of science. :P  If it was harmless, I guess I wouldn't care, but ignorance is harmful.....I mean, look at the decision my Provincial government is about to make because of ignorance among some of its leaders.

As far as I am concerned, if you are adamant that you don't want your kids learning science in a public school, then homeschool them . But if they are in the public system, then they are going to learn science, whether it conflicts with your primitive beliefs or not.
