Highgate Cemetery vampire... could you explain more of the back story on that? The podcast kind of left me guessing a bit about the details.

Oh wait.

Wiki covers it.

It is an utterly bizarre tale and was very big in the UK during the 1970s. It's a staple of London folklore these days.

The Wiki entry pretty much sums it up except to say imagine two men dressed as Austin Powers running around an old, overgrown, gothic cemetery. The article doesn't mention the wizards' duel organised by Sean that David did not show for. It also doesn't state that David ended up spending time behind bars for his role in events

David and Sean have had something of a long running feud as readers of the JREF forum will probably be aware.

Today David practises as an occultist whilst Sean is 'Bishop of Glastonbury' in his own church (umm, inside his bungalow) based on the south coast of England. Sean got in quite a tizz about our interview with David and tried unsuccessfully to get our website shut down. Enough said.

Whoa and whoa.

BTW good ep this week. The guest was really funny. And to add to the emailer's sentiments, I think RI has the best looking hosts (male and female) of any podcast. Ever. We podcasters as a rule aren't attractive looking. I know I wouldn't be behind a mike if women were shimmying out of their panties when I walked into a room or ballet class. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we're not a complete write off. Compared to say, World of Warcraft players, podcasters have at least a non zero chance of getting some before the universe experiences heat death. So we have that going for us.

Ah, thanks! If only there was money in being utterly gorgeous! Lol!  ;) Trust me, when I walk into a room everyone groans! At 34 I am completely embittered.

Yes, Tim Matthews was a great guest and we have more from him in Unlucky Dip #2 at the end of the month. By the way, you have email!

Way back Trystan did this funny voice about  typical Warhammer 40,000 player. I had no cultural reference on this side of the world to that voice. This weeks guest, however, was a dead ringer for the voice. Oh my god.

Hayley had a great comment about what his criteria was for what's a valid encounter and what isn't. He kind of just fobbed it off.

Yeah these Exo politics guys are pretty weird.

End of the day, you want to propose a new creature, bring one into the lab. Waving your hands at a truck load of weak evidence is no substitute.

Got to say that this is turning into one of my 'must listen to' podcasts.

Though I was surprised by the lack of knowledge regarding the connection between Wigan and pies from a couple weeks back. Marsh should have known that one.

Oh yeah and I have to say Marsh's (I so know the lingo now!) explanation of why you just can't cancel out the M like the homeopathy fail chick explains was simple and straightforward. I thought Marsh did a better job than Dr. N even.
