I am a regular listener to the podcast and am becoming more and more engrossed in skepticism. I'm trying to use Facebook to spread the word about skeptical analysis of topics I hear friends/family discussing: homeopathy, chiropractic, acupuncture, anti-vaccination, etc.
Unfortunately, Facebook is RIFE with pro-pseudoscience, alternative medicine, etc. There are groups everywhere!
I think a skeptical organization (*wink wink*) should start creating some skeptical Facebook groups that have REAL information and links to references. For example, when I search "chiropractic" I get 500+ results and AT LEAST the first 300 of those results are pro-chiropractic; when searching "alternative medicine" the ratio of pro-AM to anti-AM is about 5 to 1 at best.
The skeptical movement needs to use social networking as a tool, because so far the loons and pseudoscientists appear to be beating us to the punch!
