Gilnei:
I've just watched this and I couldn't resist linking the video here.  The critique is so true (and hilarious) it hurts. :D

strangeghost:
Hilarious, but also sad, sad, sad.

Luna:
Is colbert really religious? Or does he take it that far?

Joe Shmoe:
Last week with Bill Donohue on he seemed to take his religiousity a little beyond satire to outright hero-worship, but it's hard to track with him sometimes.

Also, more than a little surprised to see Bill Donohue of the catholic league coming out so strongly against evolution in the clip they showed.  Especially since the pope himself urged restraint on the topic.  Perhaps Dr. Donohue is a little more interested in cozying up to his protestant allies in the 'war on decadence' than he is in adhering to papal dogma...

Gilnei:

Are you talking about Colbert the character, or the Colbert the comedian?

The character is a fervorously christian, right-wing extremist nutjob. The comedian most ceirtanly is not, although I can't tell you for sure what his points of view are in these matters.
