Cause I want out of the ass and boob thread! I was young and stupid. I'm sorry I didn't consider that they would follow me for ever.

It would be very useful if a user could blacklist a thread from appearing in unread topics and unread replies.

We've been discussing upgrading to SMF 2.0 RC4.  If that's a feature in RC4, awesome!  If it's not, and there's a supported modification for it, we'll install it.  But we're not going to work on it until after we upgrade to RC4.

Can we please set the explicit threads to expire after a maximum amount of time?  I don't think the intention of the change to the timeout feature of the explicit forum was to allow threads to live for over two years (the boob thread was started September 2008).

You're right; that wasn't the intent, but if a thread stays popular enough to go on for two years without ever having a period of five days of inactivity, I feel that that should be rewarded -- or at least not punished!

I'll tell you what, though: just like I did with some of the other popular long-running threads, once they hit a certain number of posts, I'll split them, lock the original, and move the original to Explicit Classic.  Looks like Boobs just passed 5K posts.  I'll split it there.  How's that?

When you split the ass thread can you please make some joke about how the thread has a crack in it?

You're missing it.  :) It's the third item in the menu bar beneath the header graphic.
