I think the forum  needs to be made haiku compliant:

OK, seriously.

A number showing how many new posts there are in a thread under the unread  / new replies view would be useful.

You're not the only one who has missed it, so don't feel too small!

It is common for a search form with a text entry field to appear by default on a site that supports search.  In the case of SMF, though, most themes do not include a search form, but rather one must go to a secondary page to begin a search.  It might prove to be trivial to add a search form in the header or footer area, if that was desired.

I suspect most folks who do not realize SMF supports search would notice the search capability if a form appeared by default.

Just sayin'.

Is it possible to get the 'new posts' search option again?

So, we have gone back to the horrible, hard-to-read color scheme, more or less?

You could phrase that in the form of a suggestion, or you could, as always go...

I don't want to use any of those color schemes either.  I'd like to go back to the alternate lighter color scheme if possible :-D .

I like the new "read" and "unread" Icons, more obvious which ones are new and old now. The other ones were confusing.

I think we should add a steak subforum.

Just throwing that out there.

I like those as well. It's a little confusing, though, to have the Skepticism/Science forum and the General Discussion show as unread just because you haven't read their subforums. Would it be possible to change that? I don't usually read the global warming threads.

Do what I do, and put the whole board on ignore. It's still there, but it doesn't show up in the 'unread posts' or effect the Icons.
