I was just listening to the most recent episode of The Naked Scientists podcast and they had a Canadian rapper named Baba Brinkman who did a rap show entitled The Rap Guide to Evolution for Cambridge University's Darwin Festival. The portion they played sounded really good and interesting, and I'm not normally a rap fan. You can hear it, or read it, at http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/content/interviews/interview/1164/.

Sounds like an interesting guy, and like he learned some interesting things while putting his show together.

Could be a rather quiet interview.

Teller has already been on the show. Search for his name in the archives.

Neil Manson. He's a philosopher of science at the University of Mississippi, and he has written extensively on the subject of "intelligent design" (from a critical point of view).

I would like to hear interviews with Richard Dawkins, Steve Jones, Paul Davies, Ricky Gervais, Dara O'Briain, David Quammen, Daniel Dennett, etc
...and maybe some sci-fi writers.

I quite enjoy listening to Ben Goldacre.

But perhaps it would be more fun to have a psychic on?

Perhaps Dara O'Brien or Tim Minchin, from what i gather they're both keen on the skeptic side.

Dear SGU rogues:

In two words: ALAN SOKAL! Sokal, for a quick bit of background, wrote the famous hoax paper in a post-modern journal that caught the journal with their pants down. I've been waiting to hear SGU devote an interview solely to the debunking of Postmodernist woo (as it bears on Science) but it has never come. I was wondering if you could invite Alan Sokal on the show to discuss: 1) the threat posed (if any) to the public's understanding of science or 2) to the actual ability of scientists to do their work and its affect on them (again, if any) by Postmodernism as it attempts to comment on Science. It would be interesting to hear how Professor Sokal might rate it in terms of danger level in relation to other forms of woo. Who knows, they might be able trace some of its influence on the ability of certain new age "healing" techniques to snooker people. And it would ROCK to be able to hear Alan Sokal discuss his paper with the SGU cast! How interested would you be in hearing Alan Sokal discuss the influence (negative and/or positive) on Science and hear his rating of the danger of post-modernism to the public and to Scientists in particular (in terms of $ and ideologically) on SGU guys? Would it be something you'd like to hear SGU devote the interview time of a show on?

Thank you guys, love the show!
