Please don't just "follow" this story, I implore you.  Dig in!!!!  How about getting a well qualified AGW skeptic on the show for an interview?  That would be an awesome place to start.  (I'd be happy to set that up for you - just ask - I'll do all the legwork).
That is the perfect way to delude yourself into thinking that you have any clue what the hell you are talking about despite lacking any relevant knowledge.  You basically have no ability to distinguish bullshit from reality…

You’ll understand if I stopped reading at that point.  I would expect more civilized debate among this crowd.

Again, the skeptics to which I refer are extremely well qualified in climate science and directly related disciplines, respected in their fields (see two linked in my previous post), and some contributing members and reviewers on the IPCC.

Mad, you’re knee is jerking.  You should have that looked at.  :)

I second that motion.

That is the perfect way to delude yourself into thinking that you have any clue what  I can show you anti-vaxer articles from the Huffington Post which shows that while these "skeptics" knew enough to do research they actually lacked the knowledge to interpret what the read.  It was really sad too.  They were using laws governing industrial chemical waste to prove that thimersol is toxic waste when with that same logic would mean that beer and a lot of jewelry is toxic waste also.

Not surprised and not interested. I would however be interested if you can show me articles written by global warming skeptics and "show that while these "skeptics" knew enough to do research they actually lacked the knowledge to interpret what they read."

I win.

When I turned to the gospels I learned that the contemporary enemies of Jesus, who wanted to disprove His divinity, could not deny His many miracles, there being too many eye witnesses. Not being able to dispute the fact of His amazing deeds, they questioned the source: they asserted, feebly, that an evil superhuman power had performed the miracles, not the Spirit of God!
Though I was actually not referring to climatologists.   I was referring to every single other skeptic that isn't climatologists.

Actually I was right and you provided the evidence.  One of those skeptics is exactly what I described which pisses me off.  He's a climatologist that lost his ability to distinguish bullshit from reality in terms of creationism.

Yeah, that's unfortunate.  Wish I'd have noticed that before I posted that one...

Still, that's not his area of expertise and is completely irrelevant to the discussion.  He's one of the two guys that was awarded the NASA Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal for putting together one of the few data sets pertinent to the AGW debate and that's the domain we're discussing.

I would agree, though, that he might not be my first choice for a skeptical guest.  None of that diminishes my original point.

I know that. I appreciate that you actually posted real climatologists. Really I honestly do.   When I wrote that post I was referring to people like myself or Steve (Laymen).

that 'fishy pasta' thing was weird, but reminded me of this:

July 2008
Massey [University] develops ice-cream that is good for you

One of the ingredients in the ice-cream is fish oil, which contains omega three - a fatty acid which is meant to be good for our hearts.

You can not taste the fishiness because a student at Massey University’s food technology plant has worked out how to mask it.

It is hoped the ice-cream will eventually be made commercially and become a multi-million-dollar earner.

I appreciate what you're saying.

By the way, would it be cheating to go back and take Roy Spencer out of my earlier post?   :)

I don't know.  I edited my posts twenty times but I really don't know how to deal with people who could be compartmentalizing their skeptical thinking.

The rogues are right to say that not all AGW skeptics are deniers.  Most of them are just ignorant.  I don't think that ignorant people are necessarily deniers.

Again Can somebody explain how we can dramatically increase carbon dioxide an admitted greenhouse gas without increased temperature?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keeling_Curve

It is a trace gas to start with. So a small change in the total is dramatic and we are accelerating the rate we add everyday.

Off the top of my head isn't it 17% in the last century but a projected doubling in the next twenty years? I'm no climatologist but seems dramatic to me.

Oh my, free range pork (pasture fed) is well endowed with omega 3 fatty acids already, as are free ranging anything, cattle, fish, chicken, eggs, whatever, and it won't taste like fish.  Omega 3 comes from green leafy things and concentrated in the food chain.
