I've listened to some of Hrab's stuff on Last.fm and have been toying around with the idea of buying an album of his for a while. i wouldn't otherwise obtain his music, because i respect him as an artist and would want to support him financially, but i haven't really had the budget for music lately.
email him and ask him if he appreciates your decision to not enjoy his music and not give him any money, because you don't want to enjoy his music until you've given him money, unless it's available on youtube or lastFM or the radio or podcasts.
d'you think there should be a some sort of cultural moral of youtube interest rates? like, if you buy a plasma screen TV, and you pay it off over 2 years, you start getting lots of enjoyment out of the TV before you've paid for it all, and you pay more for the TV in the end for that privilege. If you enjoy songs from his album while he's still waiting for your money, then, when you do finally pay him in full, should you give him more than people do who haven't heard any of his songs before making full payment on the album, since you were getting pleasure you didn't yet fully deserve?
