Okay, this is available to stream on Netflix, and I hereby remove all reservations I had. I watched 'A Study in Pink,' and it was freakin' brilliant. I agree that this Holmes is very faithful to the Holmes of the stories. He comes across as a bit of an arrogant douche in many of the stories.

Anyway, great episode. Hoping the others follow suit!

It's streaming now. Excellent. I looked for it last month, but didn't see it under the myriad of BBC offerings.

Still, it will never be as good a Sherlock as "Sherlock: Undercover Dog"

I also think the Victorian era Sherlock Holmes has been done to death, and would have a hard time topping Jeremy Brett's rather definitive version. A good detective story is going to be good in any era, and seeing Holmes perform with our more familiar technology is actually a relief in many ways. I also like how they are better able to address issues that are way more familiar to us these days, like people naturally assuming Holmes and Watson are lovers.

I remembered that this show existed about a week ago, and discovered that season 2, another 3 episodes, has been around for a while.

Figured I'd just revive this thread as a reminder to anyone else who may be interested but missed the appearance of season 2.

Personally I preferred season 1, but felt it was definitely worth watching.

Thanks.  We really enjoyed season 1, and I have been waiting on season 2.

I finally got around to watching these over the last two weeks.  I really liked them.

Episodes 2 seem to be the weakest (both seasons).

I really loved the Season two finale.  There was a twist that got me.

Still loads of unanswered questions, and I'm really looking forward to Series 3. Too bad we have to wait until 2013 to see it. Such a long, long time.

I also forgot to say I really liked that I found the climactic scene quite emotional from the way it was acted, even though I already knew (for sure, having seen/read previous Sherlock Holmes versions) how it turned out.

Only Series 1 is available on Netflix, unfortunately. I really enjoyed the first Series, though I was a bit disappointed in their choice for Moriarty.
