I'm kidding, of course.

I've done commissions on a million things, including clothing, but never sewing.  I have no idea how much even a ballpark estimate would be for a coat.

I'm pretty sure I could modify this pattern http://voguepatterns.mccall.com/v8626-products-10683.php?page_id=265 to work.  Just change the button attachment and the back seams and add pockets and belt.  I will look for some nice poly/wool blend on this shopping trip I'm leaving for in the morning.  That blue is so gorgeous!

I'm no expert in such things, but it seems like you'd have to move the waist way down on that pattern to get the hang and shape of the original coat.  But I don't know how to do anything.

Maybe this pattern would be a better base design?

It looks like you'd just have to scale the collar up a bit, and extend the sleeves, and add more buttons and a belt.

EDIT:  Speaking of me being an idiot, here's a site with no patterns at all that I'm still going to refer you to for gasp factor alone.  My girlfriend spends solidly an hour a week on the swimwear page alone.

Bunsen, I'm having a difficult time finding a wool in that gorgeous blue.  I did find some wools in Seoul but nothing close to that color.  I'll keep looking though.
