Not really. It's a catch all thread. I do qoute tweets here, but it's usually friendly banter and happy birthdays.

Hey yo, y'all!

I'm at my office.  Cleaning it.  Making order out of chaos.  Throwing shit away.  I know I have a desk under here somewhere.  After all, cleanliness is next to...um, something.

And I'm crankin' AddictedToRadio.com 80s Pop Hits.  Woo-hoo, who knows how to get wild?  This girl.  Aw yeeeaaaahhh.

I'm gonna get this place in shape and then get the hell outta here.

ETA:  What the hell IS all this shit and why was I keeping it?  Holy crap.  Srsly, holy crap.  Although this is a nice art set—crayons, oil pastels, watercolors, colored pencils.  Appears to be untouched.  No idea where that came from.

This is so familiar.  I found an unused art set a couple of months ago too. I must have, ahem, "collected" it from my high-school's art department at some time although I can't really recall exactly how that happened. But I was shit at art and also an opportunist petty "collector" of school equipment so I'm guessing that.

Oh ho, is that how this thing got here?   I have absolutely no memory of the provenance of this art set.  The copyright on it is 1987, which is well before the AQB Era, but the markers are still good, not dried out.  I'm sure I can hand this off to a student.

Man, I'm finding stash after stash of WTF.  My paper recycling bins are getting full already.  Might have to reconstitute some of the corrugated boxes I'd already flattened.

Shit.  This is going to be awesome when I get done.

Is it not Saturday where you are? If so, why are you at work instead of being at home? I thought the result of your annual appraisal was that you're working too hard?

Go home and relax! Now!

Heh, thanks, DK, buddy.  :)  Yes, I do work too hard and spend too much time in my office and don't take enough time off.  But today I haven't been working on work.  I've been tidying and cleaning and clearing out.  My office is tiny, so it doesn't take much for the clutter to start closing in on me, and that really affects my state of mind.  It's disheartening as hell to look across a buried desk at a messy shelf unit, and it sucks to open the door in the morning and see mayhem.  Y'know?

Makes more sense to do this on a weekend, because I can crank up the tunes and throw stuff out in the hallway, and I won't be interrupted by any actual work.

I still need to go through some file drawers, but I'm tired, and all the visible surfaces are now clean and tidy.  I can do the drawers during the workday.  Now I just gotta take all of this stuff to the recycling drop-off center, and then I promise to stay home and relax/putter around tomorrow.  :)  And I have some fun planned for the coming week, too.

I decided to stream the film Sneakers on a whim. Wow, hello early 90's. Dem pants. Dat hair. It was refreshing to watch a film not only anchored by older actors, but virtually cast entirely of them. A real change of pace from what I've been watching recently.

You could at least have brought the Sergeant. I'm sure he would have been very helpful.

I'm knee deep in Debby.

We have been watching the jet skies jump the big waves in the relatively calmer waters of the east pass.

It occurs to me that my adult kids have never spoken on a party line, seen a test pattern, or had fewer than five TV stations to watch.
If you still hold the same views now as you did in high school, you probably should reexamine those views.
