Michonne shows up and is as badass as she was in the comics, then I could forgive the show for anything and everything else.
Soldier of FORTRAN:
Shane's "psychotic" minor flash with Randall (while breathing and leering like a walker ??? ) and his major flashes at death? Not only is everyone a carrier, but it totally messes up their brain. Their poor, poor brains.
Neutral Milk:
I read something that makes me think not everyone is a carrier...
Someone mentioned that Shane probably started turning when he cut himself on the bus and had the walkers lick his blood, then he put the wound back on the spot where the walkers licked.
The kid was in the handcuffs and tore up his wrists. He was in the same barn where they had kept all those walkers before.
Shane was going psychotic before he died probably because he had already started to turn.
Soldier of FORTRAN:
True, but I'm thinking this is was foreshadowed when Rick and Shane remarked about the cops they found at Randall's Dump Site bearing no marks. Then Daryl remarked Randall had no marks.

It'd actually be pretty sweet if it wasn't about infection but rather levels of viremia. Maybe everyone could just keep getting dumber and more panciky and the season could end with them meeting some British forces in Hazmat suits who are handling everything likes champs and maybe wry comments about their poor brains.

...I'm still holding for the Brits.
edit: Helicopter was a foreign survey team. Zombie virus was an outside job.
mindme:
Everyone who dies becomes a zombie doesn't really change the game plan much.
The scene at the start where they put the beat down on a bunch of zombies, did anyone think that was a nod to the printer scene in office space?
