Miisanthrope:
Well, my experiences of my own pregnancies were rather different: my nausea made we want to both die and kill, and mood swings, including depressive phases, started pretty early. So forgive me for taking offence at being accused of sexism for trying to find a reasonable explanation for her mixed messages and apparent inconsistencies.

Holden Attradies:
I see where your coming from I think.  It was the "Wait. Wives don't give their husbands mixed messages all the time?" that seemed particularly sexist to me and it was probably wrong (and a little lazy on my part) to lump your statement about her pregnancy in with  my comment of that comment.

But on this topic, did they mention/show the effects of the pregnancy on her beyond the episode where Glen found out and then the next one where everyone else did?  Wasn't that the one where they showed her throwing up in the morning?

Also, I'm noticing some how the word "not" is missing from the opening of my last comment (should be "I've not been pregnant (being male and all)").  I will go back and edit it now...

DeepGlue:

--- Quote from: seaotter on Mar 28, 2012, 11:23:46 AM ---I'm confused about ricks wife's reaction to Rick killing Shane. She practically told him to kill him earlier and now she is upset when he killed him in self defense?

--- End quote ---

Wasn't there a recent moment where she was showing some hint of affection for Shane? I forget specifics but it was like she felt sorry and acknowledged the kid could be his. So that would explain her change of feelings after Rick killed him. Still a bitch. Plus, I guessed that was part of what pushed Shane over the edge.

stonesean:
Comic Lori actually regrets what she did with Shane and recognizes him as the increasingly mentally unstable guy who both verbally and physically abuses her husband Rick, who she claims to love.  When Shane dies (click to show/hide) (Carl kills him!) , Lori understands it had to be done.

TV Lori claims she regrets what she did with Shane and does not seem to recognize him as the increasingly mentally unstable guy who both verbally and physically abuses her husband Rick, who she claims to love.  When Shane dies Lori seems angry that Rick killed him.

Strange.

(I did enjoy Shane's death on the TV show more than in the comic)

goodthink:
AMC pushed the audience to hate shane. And I think they did to artifically make the season end on a higher note, where shane's death should have occured in season 1.

I believe dale was written out of the show because he asked to be written out after AMC ousted the head writer from season 1.
