I always laugh at that... The production quality on everything is so high and then for some reason just the episode numbering in the mp3 metadata is delightfully quirky.

depends whether or not you count "sex parts 1 and 2" as a single episode. ...if you do, then it should be 98 (because of Doomed Expeditions :)

Im guessing that one of the two might have been given a regular episode number, but then it got removed from the count at some point after that, or something.

Its hard to tell because the episode numberings are so quirky.

For reference for anyone who hasnt looked, the episode numbers in the mp3s for season 3 (as a representative sample) so far are: 1, blank, 3, 4, 96, 6, 98, 99  ;D

I just* keyword searched my PC, excluding the new ep (ep 100) ... found 101 hits (2 were news/contest related, not episodes)

Ok... when you say excluding episode 100 are we talking about the same episode? Burns? My Caustic Soda stuff has its own folder, so I was able to just look in there - I only have 101 files including Burns.

Damn... now Im worried Ive missed one. Although the metadata does still say #99 for Burns, so unless theres a secret new episode I havent seen yet I cant be completely crazy (well... not because of this, anyway).

The feed doesnt help because it doesnt go back all the way :S

Burns is in my feed now -- I guess one of you guys recognized there was a new ep before they'd managed to get it on there (which they've done by the usual time of day :)

AHA!

I didnt have the s02e42 Flies'n'Maggots episode. But Im pretty sure Ive listened to it, so Im not sure where it went... flew away I guess.

So there are 100 proper episodes. Its just the metadata numbering thats messed up and thinks there are only 99.

No, youre not missing one there. Sex Part 1 is episode 29 and listed as such on its filename, its just the metadata that says 30.

The metadata then gets a bit funky for the next few episodes (31, 32, 33, blank, 33, blank), but gets back on track with Sloth at 36 being correct.
