This comment was just posted and immediately nominated for a Stundie, referring to the Flight 77 bodies found still strapped into their seats in the Pentagon:

Quote
Bodies can be planted and bodies strapped in plane seats can be planted. Those bodies stapped in plane seats don't prove anything. The evidence that the craft that hit the Pentagon was too small to be a 757 is crushing.

I mean they were planted in the Pentagon before the crash.

Love Randi to pieces. Don't like the direction of the JREF as much these days. Just me.

None, since those forums are run by hypocrites that use the same techniques and pseudosciences that they criticize others for.

The following is actually in the user agreement.

The James Randi Educational Forum reserves the right to remove, edit, move or close any post, thread or article for any reason at any time.

Having posted there I can vouch that this policy is alive and widely enforced. The "any reason" part is literally true and includes such things as demands from UFOs and godly revelations.

That is the site of never-ending threads.

Some topics are quite hot and people do want to discuss things, but jeebus, the elevatorgate thread is still going, Amanda Knox thread is going to never close (unless for a brief moderation period).

People just seem to never want to stop arguing or concede a point, it gets boring.

It's beyond stupid.  They have ONE "Global Warming" thread, and it's moderated.

One thread.  And every last issue concerning climate, weather or earth science gets classified as "global warming".  It's stupid cubed.

This was just nominated for a Stundie. It comes from a David Icke Forum discussion about the retro-reflectors left on the Moon by the Apollo astronauts.

Any comment on the retroreflectors before you move on? It's not complicated technology, the same principle is used on bicycle reflectors.

So what if i got my laser pointer keyring and fired it at a nearby bike reflector?
Do you predict there will be a beam reflected back in my direction
or
do you predict that there will simply be a red dot on the plastic surface of the reflector?

It's so stupid I made it my new sig.

Indeed.  It's quite educational to have a plethora of topics, especially when they involve polar opposites.  Aside from politics, how many really contentious topics are there for skeptics?

A recent Stundie nomination:

Quote
Actually, It Has Very Little To Do With Technology, and quite a bit to do simply with the principle of contradiction. Neil Armstrong and NASA cannot claim on the one hand that no one knew where the Eagle had landed, and then on the other hand, provide in the Apollo 11 Mission Report very accurate coordinates for the Eagle's location. Both cannot be simultaneously true, and so one may conclude neither is true, and if neither is true, then Apollo is fraudulent.Link

A recent Stundie nomination quoted from Metapedia, the Wikipedia for Nazis:

Quote
In his writings, Einstein makes several wrong predictions of "new physical phenomena" such as the prediction that clocks will work at a faster rate when placed in a weaker gravitational field, a prediction that is obviously wrong as for example an hourglass will work at a slower rate when placed in a weaker gravitational field.Link

Tried commenting on a couple of blog posts and in the threads, but my comments were only posted once. Moderation on JREF seems out of control so I won't waste my time there anymore.

This kind of worries me.  It's often a really bad sign when an organization won't let people speak their mind in the comment section.  Maybe it's nothing but stupidity, but I don't like it.
