I think I've only seen the first movie. Maybe parts of the second movie. I like comics, but comic movies are too hit or miss for me.

This should give you a better idea of how the suit will look, maybe.

I like it, personally.

Like that they are going with mechanical web shooters.

Hate everything else I have seen.  The suit is just too Batman & Robin.

Or maybe too Amazing Spider-man? I mean, that is the classic suit afterall. I'll wait to judge when they start some previews, but imo not everything needs to be like the new Batman, gritty, dark, etc.

I don't see the problem with the new suit. And, iirc, Spider-Man had the mechanical web-shooters and the built-in web-shooters, so neither is breaking canon. The only thing that the other Spidey films did that broke canon was not kill Gwen Stacey.

Spidey always had the mechanical webshooters that he invented.  I was fine with the movie making them part of his superpowers (let's face it, that's a lot more believable than a high school kid suddenly inventing them!)  In the Ultimate Spidey universe, I believe he used a secret formula invented by his uncle or something.

In any case, I'm not making any judgments about the movie based on the snapshots.  I love the movie title; huge mistake going with the Spidey 2, etc titles in the original movies, IMO.  Spidey movies should be like James Bond movies.  They can replace the actors playing specific parts and keep the movies going; loosely connected, but not true "sequels".  And, yes, they need to do the Gwen Stacy dying story line.  No need to make the movie otherwise dark like the Batman flicks, especially since Spidey has always been a more lighthearted character.

No, he developed the formula himself.*

I guess in recent comic issues (2007), they've moved on to Spidey shooting web from his wrist rather than his web-shooters. For some reason, I thought that went back farther.
Here, this clears it up:

Spidey's web-shooters are like Wolverine's adamantium, though, you shouldn't f* with the adamantium.

I just got that pun. Christ.

*wait, you're talking about a different formula. Christ, superheroes and their bleeding formulas.

Yeah the comic added the organic webshooters when spider spidey died and somehow gave birth to himself after the movies came out so the comics and movies could be in line. Seriously I am not making that up.

That looks an awful lot like a low-budget porn. Or maybe that's high-budget, I'm not really sure about how porns are budgeted.

Cracked.com covered this in their article, "5 Absurd Ways Comic Books Have Resurrected Dead Superheroes."  Basically some insect queen kicks Spiderman's ass and kisses him.  The kiss turns him into a giant pregnant spider which promptly dies... Then gives birth to spidey...  Wow...
