SGU Minecraft

Jay:
Anyone interested in starting a minecraft server that we can have SGU themes on?  Rebecca and I play and would love this.  Imagine a giant Steve Novella statue or the Hall of Skepticism?

Joe B:
Yes, never tried multiplayer but spend way too much time in survival single player.

CPU: 2.4Ghz Single Core CPU (2.2Ghz Dual-Core or Higher Recommended)
Memory: 4GB or Higher Recommended

I also would guess your internet connection doesn't have enough bandwidth, my friend who runs a 20 player server says his server hits upwards of 2.5-3Mbps upload rates when the server is full.

I don't meet the specs.  I am

But I'd be completely down with playing on a skeptically themed server.

Karyn:
This may be the thing that finally convinces me to play, much to the chagrin of the boyfriend, who has been begging me to play for months.

Yeah, the requirements are pretty serious... One blog I read recently asking for hosting help after some trouble with their provider - the numbers they gave was they use about 400GB a month and need 4 or 5 Mbps upload. Although I dont know how many players they get.

A skeptical minecrafty collaboration would awesome, though.
