Can't wait to see this, sounds like fun.

They talked about the bracelet a few SGU ep's ago... and I actually think it serves to de-legitimize the magic bracelets; makes them seem more like "super secret decoder rings" than "magic health and balance improvers."

Good point.  Next time you see one of those you can say "Oh, you must be iron-man!" and chuckle derisively.

Reports from my buddy Corey, a film critic for Detroit's free weekly, the Metro Times are that the movie is a 100% home run, including a final post credits twist that will have hardcore Avengers comic fans (like him) shitting themselves.  The press screening was very well recieved....
So when are we going to get a Batman versus Superman movie?

wouldn't hulk vs superman make more sense?

batman -- gets killed instantly. Flash...gets killed as soon as he superman throws something faster than he can run. superman needs less of a puny human rival.

Of course my favorite part of that comic was Oliver "It still hurt when it's cold" Queen.

So saw this movie last night (left my review in the reviews thread) and the new post-credits scene they shot way after post-production is awesome and pure Whedon.

Avengers (1978)

The sad part is that movie would have better F/x and production design than if the Syfy channel did a rip off movie.

Well, they just filmed the thing at the premiere of the movie so they probably couldn't add it in time for the UK release.  The actors apparently didn't know about it until that night either and they were just told that their costumes had been brought along.

That is pretty cool. Guess I'll just have to wait for the DVD extras then.

I remember Hulk and Captain America. I have a very vague recollection of Thor. It was one of those things that I thought could have happened and I missed it - and you know what? I'm sorry it was a fake. Paul Lynd as Loki? Genius!

I love how Hulk reacts like 4 seconds after getting hit by Thor's Hammer.

Just got back from seeing it.  The scene with Hulk and Loki stole the ENTIRE show.
