Have you tried Mafia MA?

No.  I don't support organized crime.

If people really care what I would like to see even though I'm not active any more...

I would like to see more frequent "Fresh Start" events, and then one (single) "archive" world where we use Bukkit to copy/paste builds for posterity.

That texture pack is nice, but I think it would cause more confusion than any pack I use - especially if we do a CTM map;  how are we supposed to know which wool we've got?  I know, mouse-over and a name pops up, but still.  I think it would be disorienting, unless a particular map were built with that pack in mind.  Cool pack though.

I was just thinking about using it for my war idea. It would be too much of a pain for any other maps.

Drawn back in by Z's email...I've been away from MC for a while simply because I haven't had (or made) the time.  But I'd like to log in soon and check out what y'all have been up to for the past several months.

A consistent homeworld would be nice--something that remains familiar over a period of many months or longer.  It would have a nice transportation system out to areas that are spawned with different versions of the game.  The multiverse is still cool, especially for challenge maps.

Some kind of weekly get-together or challenge, if well timed, might actually work out for me.  But I don't expect to be much more active than that.

Cool!  I've put up a thread for the challenge LP here if you don't mind being filmed:

I've also put up the first of the tour videos;  I've settled on making one for each map.  There is a little black border around the video;  I've done everything I can, but ultimately my problem is that my monitor has a display aspect of 16/10 - if I record minecraft in full size it is never going to fit right in the youtube window, which has an aspect of 16/9.  I suppose I can try adjusting the size of the minecraft window, but I feel like I'd just be guessing.  If anyone has a solution to this let me know (aside from buying a new monitor).  Anyway, this is the video:

Too bad you didn't go into my longhouse, it's pretty nifty inside, and there's even a dark secret underneath it
There's, another example. See, here I'm now sitting by myself, uh, er, talking to myself. That's, that's chaos.

Just to give you guys a heads up- I have not abandoned my project in the settlement. I will be gone for the next week for work and it may be a few more weeks before I can get back on for any length of time.

Thanks! :)

I just saw this video. It would be awesome if Mojang added proper mountains into world generation algorithm or whatever, especially with the new heights. They would look epic.

Minecraft: Medieval City

That mountain looks cool, as does the castle.  It reminds me of some mountains I saw in a vid of Vechs' Lethamyr map.  It would be nice if minecraft generated that kind of terrain natively.  Maybe someday!

My pleasure! I've done a tour of all of the maps now. It's been fun making them, stretching my brain a bit and learning a new skill.

I'm making an LP of Nightmare Realm.  I'm going to post it in the minecraft forums and try to get some views - maybe it will lead some fellow minecrafters to take an interest in skepticism and the SGU.

It was also cool seeing far distance as well to get a sense of the size. Due to lag, if I'm not just being logged out, I never get to see those views with so much visible. (The reason I'm not on much is that from where I live the lag is so bad most times it's unplayable at night. Downside of being in Oz.)
