Can't get on until I'm home later. I'll let you know if there are any issues. I hope the village I started hasn't been reverted. I spent like 3 hours just getting the area ready to start the main build.

Rai lost half his keep. And by half I mean cut vertically down the middle. The cut was on a chunk boundary.
Half the keep fine, other half gone including bed cut in half (!) and water channel cut in half and not flowing out.
There has been mention of chunk save bugs in 1.3.1 so i have updated our server tonight to beyond what Beastnode was up to.
Hopefully the chunk bug fixes in this version prevent any more of this. I notice that my lag issues went away but the teleport bugs still exist. (Which only affect me when I'm jumping around checking on things)

So in summary, it's not reverting, it's simply not saving some chunks and then recreating to original state, most likely using the seed. :(

Looked like this..that's my dirt floor sticking out

I just looked at it and the tower seemed fine to me... Here is an update on everyone's stuff in case people were interested: (with pics!) :D

My stuff is fine:

Whatever this is is fine:

The lighthouse appears to be fine:

And the tower is fine:

What's not fine is the mob farm:

I popped on for a bit between work and heading to a thing I have tonight to check a couple of things. When the village reverted it put back a tree platform that was going to be the beginning of my tree house before I abandoned it to start the new village. I guess when I have time I'll dismantle it again. I can always use the extra wood.

My village in the north west was also fine. I guess the chunk issue was just the one where the village is.

Also, I was having major server issues. I would have to click chests multiple times, or destroy the same block repeatedly. The client said the server was down when I first opened it too. Do I need to update my client, or is this server side stuff?

I think it's server side. It was unplayable for me for half the time with this interaction lag bug thing. I did another upgrade last night to fix that and the not-saved-chunk bug. We'll see how they go. We should be on 1.3.2 soon and then we can up update the clients at startup. But not until then.

Any chance of compensating peeps for their losses?  Rai lost a ton of stone brick with his tower half disappearing.  I put everything I harvested from the fortress the first time in a few chests in my basement.  The chests are gone now, as is the enderchest I placed at the blacksmith, and the enchanting table I made and placed in the village.  I lost about 1 1/2 chests worth of stone brick, cracked stone brick and mossy stone brick.  Oh, and like half a stack of iron fence.  Any chance I could get one single chest of each back, plus an enchanting table and enderchest?  And while you're at it, Rai and I cleared the books from TWO libraries in the fortress (check the vid above).  Between us we had nearly a full double chest of books.  I don't know if Rai lost his half, but mine went bye-bye with the stone bricks.

I had a very disappointing homecoming in New Villiage.  I wish I had screen shots, but I stopped recording when Rai and I started to harvest the fortress (I think the harvesting of the libraries may be in the vids, at least one of them).

Well, the books might be gone, because they were all in the ender chest at the blacksmith. Fortunately my general supplies weren't lost because they were at the other side of the tower. I'm thinking that I should relocate some of my important equipment, especially my all-killing sword of awesome to my previous base in the jungle.

The reason why the tower was back to normal is that I rebuilt it soon after we investigated the site, thanks to Loki's donations. I don't really need compensation, stuff happens, and I did not really lose anything in the end.

Mystical Atheist, I can give you a few stacks of mossy and cracked stone bricks, I have a lot of them and I don't really need them for anything.
There's, another example. See, here I'm now sitting by myself, uh, er, talking to myself. That's, that's chaos.

I'll post a few vids of Rai and I looking for the fortress (bonus points if you can guess his nationality based on his accent - I failed).

I'm not all that familiar with European accents, but it sounds a bit Irish to me. It doesn't really sound Scottish, and I don't know what else it could be. *Is culturally ignorant.* Rai, you wouldn't be from Eire would ya?

Nah, not at all. :)

I have no idea why collected stuff goes, that's just weird. I'm pretty sure I had some mining stuff go (diamonds... ) as well as a stack of mossy brick from the stronghold.
I'll see what I can do. As it was I was up late trying to work out how to get Rai's stuff back. Getting jungle wood, not just any wood,  with the correct orientation...ye gods..!
There are a few blocks of lumber floating around now you can't convert into timber, they simple don't work. Just another bug... For all I know they don't even burn. :-\ I might admin up a lava pit so they can be destroyed before they cause problems. If that doesn't work I'll try dynamite.
In some ways we are lucky we are running bukkit because you normally can't specify the wood type or brick type using the /give command IIRC. On the other hand, you can make stuff that doesn't exist in the game.. :(

..OK, I can't interact with anything when I log on. This is typical for me in the evenings. I'll see what I do in the morning when the night time heeby jeebies gets out of my machine.

Late news:
Tried my laptop with WiFi connection to 3G phone and all good....hmmmm :-\
Laptop with WiFi connection to home router ...no good...hmmmm  :(
Something dodgy with my home network at night.. ???

Later news:
anyway, there is now a chest at the blacksmiths full of good stuff for MA. ...just next to Zytheran's burnt down house. :'(
There's a story there involving a ghast. It's OK, it's dead and I've patched up most of the craters I think.

i'm in the process of building a freeway/bridge along the coast to the west of the lighthouse up to near my house on the edge of the desert.  the walk way is essentially done i just need to fix it up, which will take time.  I was hoping for a kind of golden gate bridge look- but that will be hard to replicate lol

hopefully the bridge is still there today... its scary to try and build large projects right now because of how shaky the server has been.

I dug it myself by hand!!!

Nah, it's just where stuff hasn't been explored yet.
