That's why I get a weekly delivery of food with recipes included, so I neither have to remember to shop nor think about what to buy. Added bonus, it's brought up the stairs for me. The downside is sometimes I get things I didn't know existed and then I have to try to explain to my husband what we're eating. But then again, I learn things.

Tonight was spaghetti with bacon, red pepper, onion, and 'colored carrots'. (Yes, husband, the carrots are apparently supposed to be purple on the outside.)

Fun fact: orange carrots are an abomination. Previous to about the 1600s, carrots were purple, red, yellow, or white. The Dutch are at fault for this.

Oh, and we evolved from carrots. Science fact.

There were some white ones too, but he didn't ask me about them. I wonder what he thought they were.

Last night at the fancy wine bar, we split a margarita pizza and smoked guanciale bourbon barrel maple syrup, black pepper. The last thing sounded great but is actually pig check, really really fatty. Not my thing and not enough like bacon witch is how it was described.

Trying something new. Got a big decent tenderloin cut, sliced it into two long strips. Going to whip butter real good and blend in crushed garlic. Slather on one side of each tenderloin along with some moist spinach, roll them into pinwheels. Tie and bake, figure like most beef 400 degrees for 30 minutes should do it. I hope I don't screw this up.

Nice idea.  I'll try this with a twist... wrap a piece of bacon around the steak, it works a treat for salmon.

Left over Pork Cutlet, probably mixed with peas and Soba.

Roast other-white-meat, Brussels sprouts, brown rice.
If you still hold the same views now as you did in high school, you probably should reexamine those views.
