Just a demo I knocked up last night.
Excuse the dodgy playing, this was just a bit of country styled improv.

I know some synth nerds who are way worse than me.
The buying and selling boggles the mind!

I got the Holga lens for out Canon T2i, it's pretty fun with the filter set!

I had an AN1X that I just gave away to a guy here in LA that's a total synth head. I went virtual with synths years ago due to time, space and $$ constraints (plus I use them as textures now anyway more than featured instruments). I have managed to get some keyboard/synth guys to geek out over some really cheap virtual synth and organ sounds I have manipulated, so it works well for me, though what I wouldn't give for a small warehouse space and a ton of Moog, Juno, Prophecy, etc...

That old "it's how you use it" really does wonders.
I only have a couple of synths now, and they mostly just gather dust.
No time to play, or space to set them up.

Kinda arty... designing practical products.

I like the new SG pick plate design! I was thinking how cool it would be to make a wood plate. Then I considered aging and moisture for a second and realized what a mess they'd be as the wood changed... doh!

I have an 80 something Fender Fretless Jazz Bass Special (a 60s something reissue) that someone slapped an old 51 P Bass pickguard on. It's the right idea but the dimensions are funky. I keep meaning to get a proper pickguard for it. The back is hilarious because it clearly belonged to a Country Western dude who gigged a lot as the belt buckle rash on the back is HUGE!
I'm not as DIY savvy as you are or I'd probably try to refinish the bass myself.

Thanks Jeremy.

The hummingbird and Sg will be plastic plates, but I'll leave the lap steel as is, maybe with a lick of paint.
The ply I've used is a bit too thick to be practical for the regular guitars.

SG will be cream with a mint green plate :)

Though painting in my place is difficult as it's all done outside.
