Video game music - your favorite tunes
« on: June 21, 2011, 03:33:52 AM »
I have a couple.

So soothing. I would go to Marbule and just leave the game on so I could hear this in the background. It's so pretty!

I remember this game mostly for this level and this music alone.

Best boss battle music ever!

And more Zelda

Og eigi leið þú oss ekki í trúgirni, heldur frelsa oss frá fáfræði. Amen.

I've always thought Chrono Trigger had some of the best music for its time:

And lest we forget!!!! I can't believe I didn't put this up. I grew up on Castlevania games, and when I first heard this, I actually got a bit emotional! It is so fantastic

EDIT

Ooops. Forgot the link....

I'm not posting any Chrono or Castlevania music because it's too obvious.  If you've never heard those songs or played those games, then go do so.  Here's some stuff you might not know of:

Lifeforce

Rush'n Attack

Donkey Kong Country

I like the over the top/overly dramatic music from one of the final fights in Kingdom Hearts

Three thousand quirks and counting...

I played lots of games on my c64, and I do like Zombie Nation's "Kernkraft 400", don't know how I missed this...
