The problem with Weird Al is that he has so much more musical range and career longevity than most the artists he parodies. The tracks become perplexing when the original artists fade into obscurity.
I want to see a CD box set featuring the original songs paired with the Weird Al Parodies, so future generations can better appreciate his genius by placing it in context.
stands2reason is 100% correct
I actually prefer the style parodies to the song parodies. Dog Eat Dog, Dare to be Stupid, Bob, Genius in France, etc. With Dare to be Stupid, Al out-Devoed Devo.

Genius.Weird Al praodies are so well done that I often end up confusing the original song with the parody."It's all About the Pentiums," "Whatever You Like," "The Saga Begins," and now probably this song too.
