Global Warming Punch Line Thread
« on: Jun 27, 2011, 02:48:19 PM »
Seriously, am I the only one who dies a little inside when this reappears in their 'New Replies'?

Can we just lock it down please, so that those who want to carry on the discussion can start another thread?

You forgot to add "Drown it in the runoff from the melting ice caps."  I'd vote for that and I've barely even looked in the ghetto.

A poll for this?  Since when have I given you the idea that this place is a democracy??!?!???!?!??!?

Tell ya what. It's at 1180 replies right now.  When it hits 1200, I'll lock it and split the overflow into a new thread.

Maybe, it it is going to be so hard to kill, simply change the year to something a bit more likely, and more in line with the AGW doubter's arguments:  "2050: The Year Global Warming Becomes a Punchline."

That thread is still a thing?

Wait.. I'm like 99% sure I posted in that thread, so why doesn't it show up in my Unread Replies?

I'm just curious: what's the urgent need to kill a thread that's already safely quarantined within a child board, to which only a few people (well one person really) post with any regularity to begin with? If you take this thread away, there's no telling what mischief will ensue.

I posted in that thread once near the beginning, and for that I'm cursed to see it in my unread replies list for all eternity. I do not think this punishment is proportional to my sins!

I just thought I'd give you an idea of the depth of feelings people might have. That and the lulz.

Locking it and splitting it would be great. Thank you.

I posted before I saw Fx's new thread. The goat is grazing elsewhere evidently...

Thank you so much for locking that abomination!  So sick of it appearing in unread replies.
