New version out with proper planes, jet engines, and a new moon/asteroid! :D
Obvious Reasons:
I finally couldn't resist anymore, so I pre-purchased the game. I've been playing it obsessively for several days now. Approaching the new moon, Minmus, for the first time was so awesome. This game really hits my brains awesome center dead on.
Also, with the object persistence, space junk has become a reality for me. Not really a problem, since colliding with a discarded fuel tank/engine stack is probably as likely as winning the lottery. Trying to rendezvous with a piece of debris is like trying to hit a mouse with a live snake. I've started dumping my orbital insertion stages a bit early while I'm not yet in stable orbit, even if that means I waste some fuel.
