How dare they expect you to do work!

Is the link I provided in the OP not working? :/

It was working fine - the issue was at their end.

It kept giving a database error. Eventually started working and I've joined with a hastily thrown together starting 11.

Deadline has now passed for the Gold Cup, people can still join the Skeptics Classic though, right through the season.

I only saw this thread once the deadline was passed, so canĀ“t join in. But did anyone put Cesc Fabregas in their team? If so, ha ha!  >:D

   1   SGUnited                           65
   2   DG's Eleven         55   (DG)
   3   Wylie's Coyotes              47  (Peace Bunny)
   4   The Avalanche         46   (Armenoid)
   5   YNWA                 43   (Alexbutterfield)
   6   TMWFC                 43
   7   Chelsea_Dream           32

The standings after Gameweek One in The Skeptics Classic.

I couldn't work out which forum members own the other teams, so feel free to tell/correct me! Obviously these standings are available on the website in the OP, and new players for The Skeptics Classic are welcome.

They haven't done anything with our Gold Cup yet, not sure if they are just slow on the website, the site has had some teething problems at the start of the season, hopefully it will be sorted soon!

Spurs/Everton was cancelled after the riots. The game will take place later in the season, but it will not count towards this gameweek. There will be a gameweek at some point when Spurs and Everton have two games, their scheduled game and then the Spurs/Everton game.

I didn't realise that we have an Arsenal fan. I might have to pull out of the competition. I can't go around associating with such people. They'll stain my reputation as a good Red Devils man.

I think Man C, Man U and Chelski will fight it right to the wire this year

yea... Gooner be a rough year.    Hope they come through with Cahill and if somehow the Tevez for Nasri thing happens, and Wenger puts confidense into Arshavin again, it'll be a fun year.

I'm not so sure it will be that simple for the big clubs. Chelsea have already struggled in both their games, the 0-0 away at Stoke and an unconvincing win/comeback at home against West Brom. Man Utd also had a few problems against West Brom, although seemed very comfortable against Spurs.

Liverpool only managed a draw against Sunderland in the opener at home, which shows smaller sides can get big results. I could see Man Utd and Man City destroying many sides this year, but I find Liverpool and Chelsea less convincing so far.
