Topic: Banned and not banned at the same time? Srsly, wtf?

OK, this is a final act before giving up on this forum. It's seems impossible to email the admin on this forum, via the skepchick site led to silence and I haven't found any other way to contact the admin without being logged into the site.

Situation
When I log in from home using my normal computer I get a message that I have been banned.
(This is how I first discovered this issue, being banned with no warning, message or anything...)
When I try another computer at home that has never been here before I get the same message, banned.
when I then try as a guest to be able to post a message here, banned. Guest banned?
I use a dynamic IP address from my home account via my ISP Adam Internet.
However, when I log in from work, everything is fine...I can log in as per normal, wtf?

So what's the story with how people get banned from this site? Is it via IP block and not simply username?
And could someone either ban me properly if that was the intent or sort this out because I'm outa here if i can't access this site from home.

Well, for one, we are no longer associated with Skepchick, and haven't been since Ducky took over.  Two, we certainly have no reason to ban you.  You have to get multiple warnings and threats from us before we go that far.  We do ban on IPs now because of people like Mabus and Awesome220/MMP.  Banning on username clearly is not a solution to that problem.  Finally, I have no idea whats going on with your ip.  I'll have Vertex look at it and see if we can figure out whats going on.

But the truth, the truth of what this meant and why it happened, omg, it's like I'm living in some sort of Lovecraftian horror story.
The implications are simply terrifying...

To explain, it appears that SP@R was in my IP range, or I was within his/hers/its. However I'm in Adelaide, Australia and IFAIK IP ranges are assigned to ISP's. I want this to be wrong because the implications are not good. (I run the local Thinking and Drinking - Skeptics in the pub in Adelaide, we've already had a 911 truther, a holocaust denier and another conspiracy fan and are idiot free so far, fingers crossed.)

You could just have a penis inspection and kick out any that you actually recognize.

I'm happy to say this would only work for just over half the people!
Towards the end of last get together I noticed we were down to 8 men and 7 women.
If one more female joined us I was sure the space time continuum was about to tear and we'd be sucked into a black hole.
If the world ends in 3 weeks time you know why.
