It makes sense, he needs a safe skin to hide within until she can revive his body I suppose. If he's dies while in the new host perhaps there's no bringing him back.
Unfortunately I think that also means ghost will be destroyed in the process as Jon will be inhabiting him completely, much like Six Skins did to his wolf and tried to do to that girl.

Nah. That's only 'cause Varamir is a skin changer "rapist".  Jon has his own hang ups about skin changing, but he would never force himself on ghost.

I recall the one eyed wolf letting Varamir take hold, or it happening automatically after he passed out/died from attacking the girl. Out of all his animals the one eyed wolf and his pack were the only ones to remain loyal while Varamir was unconscious from the eagle incident, I can only imagine Ghost cares for Jon just as much.

The resurrection device may be too easy, but that doesn't mean Melisandre will have an easy time. She somehow has to secure ghost AND stop them from burning his body (wight prevention).

Im not saying the resurrection is a sure thing, because nothing is certain, but when taken with the prologue its certainly the direction the book was going in. You cannot ignore the narrative signifance of that prologue. Start of book = skin changer dies. End of book = skin changer dies.

Yes. And top that off with Jon's death not being in the epilogue (or prologue) which is the only time GRRM has killed an active POV character....

None of it is proof. But it certainly is an indication. And GRRM is good about showing a power being used on a minor character before he uses it on a major one. It helps the reader ease into the fantasticness of it all. Think Jaquen, Thoras, the various prophecies, Aryas training catching the Tom cat, Varamir, etc.
