Pretty sure evangelical Christians don't believe in ghosts or spirits. They believe in Satan and demons, who they are immune to because of Jesus so they will never see them or feel them. That was how it was explained to me by a few ex-coworkers that were evangelical.

On a return trip from Florida once I was passing by a huge bar and strip club in either South or North Carolina and decided to stop in and grab a beer. There was a group of guys and girls I got to talking to, cool people. On the way out they all pile into this car with a huge banner of some paranormal investigative group for the area. I thought that was funny.

Except for those occasions when one of them gets possessed and requires an exorcism.

That's Catholics.

No, I've seen videos of nutballs who belong to protestant denominations performing exorcisms upon folks. There are definitely evangelicals and fundies out there who believe in demonic possession and exorcism.

Shoot, my ex girlfriend's brother used to be a fundamentalist, protestant Christian, and he even went on a mission to El Salvador, where he claimed to have witnessed an exorcism in which a person's throat visibly swelled as the demon was expelled through their mouth.
