Do you usually seal them after that or do you find that works pretty good as a sealer?

Just stain wouldn't do, but this one has got some serious plastic in it, so it doesn't need anything else.

I usually do a matte spray after just to cut down the glossiness, not for any protection.  I did in this case.

I hear ya on the glossiness after washing something.  Glossy makes them look even more like toys, we need to at least be able to pretend were not just playing with toys when we nerd out with them.

So here's my latest finished model.  It's a converted finecast Grimgor model.  I painted it in black/silver LA Kings colours rather than the Charleston Chiefs colours the rest of my Black Orcs will have.

I did a Dwarf Lord recently.  This was a custom sculpt that a bunch of us had commissioned a while back.

Working on this bad boy next.  I've got it assembled, primed, and a bit of basecoating done.  Also have a nice base all ready for it to go on.

Spent most of the week home sick.  While I wasn't horizontal, I got a bit of hobbytime in.

Did some Goblin Wolf Riders

And some Cave Squig riding characters (already had the squigs done, did the characters).

It's not obvious if you're not in the hobby, but I did a massive amount of cutting, swapping, and sculpting of parts.

Spent a bit of time in the garage with a hand saw and a dremel this weekend.  These guys will frame my planned display board (WAAAGH! Clawz is the name of my greenskin army).

Awesome stuff there.

Ahh, to have even 1% of that talent in anything that I did...

P.S. Enthusiasm is the key - my technical skills are low-to-average, but my ambitions are the very highest.

Here is my second-place winning army from a weekend event (well, second best presentation, honest-to-goodness last place in the actual tournament).
