I'm on part 3 of The Mote in God's Eye, I've enjoyed it very much. I LOVE audio books, at least 90% of the ones I've tried. My husband hasn't cracked an actual book open for years, I thought his Audible habit was silly, but then I tried it myself, OH Nooooooooooooo!!!

Oooh, that's one that I've read a couple of times. Might get that one some time.

Started up Dark Tower 7 yesterday (also known as "New Credit Day).

The Mote in God's Eye,

Is the narrator American or British?

Just started Out of Oz (Gregory Maguire). I still have three books I've bought but just haven't listened to. My audio habit has dried up since I got my Kindle. My reading habit has slowed down, too, lately. :/ I'm starting to get back into the groove of it, though.

Is that the 4th one?  I've listened to the first 3 and quite enjoyed them.

fourth and final. it's, so far, almost as good as Wicked (one of my favorite novels of all time). I think I need to reread the series, because I don't remember much of SoaW or Lion. if you do get the audiobook, be warned that the narrator reads sloooowly. I've bumped the speed to 1.5x normal to make it sound normal to my ears.

I thought the first one was a lot stronger than the other two, although I did enjoy all three.

Wicked is absolutely one of my favorite books ever.

I'm currently listening to Wicked Bugs by someone or the other. It's okay. Very superficial, but covers a lot of stuff. Only 5 hours long. It reminds me of Hrab's Interesting Fauna bit.

I saw the musical, which was a total departure from the book, and loved it as well (on a totally different level).

Tomorrow (new credit day) I'm going to get Jenny Lawson's book and the latest Honor Harrington I think.  Also got The Nerdist Way on my mind, and the latest Harry Dresden, but those might wait a month or two.

I went with my gut and got Jenny and Honor Harrington.  Got Nerdist and Dresden on the horizon, and will also probably grab Kevin Smith's book soon too.

So this month I grabbed Chris Hardwick's Nerdist Way and that new Dark Tower book. Looking forward to both (obviously).

I'm still making my way through The Wind-up Girl by Paulo Bacialaialiaggucci. It's a lot better on 2x  :-\ Next month's credit is likely to go to Hitch-22.

Finished a re-listen of Neverwhere this morning.  Moving on to Scalzi's Redshirts (read by my internet boyfriend Wil Wheaton) next.

Reading The Idea Factory.  It's a history of Bell Labs.  I have about 4 hours left.  I'm an engineer and an all around science geek so it's really interesting seeing how the information age came about from transistors all the way up to the Telstar satellite.  It's not all technical though.  The author does a good job of telling the stories of these early pioneers.

I listened to Under the Dome by Stephen King with my previous credit.  I've never hated a character more than I hated Big Jim Rennie.  Lots of involuntary clinching of the steering wheel on my commute whenever he was being just plain evil.
