Thanks, I think I'll add decay to the list, I reckon that'll give more scope for interpretation for ideas.

As announced in the Sounds thread, that'll be the last one of the year and I'll start a new competition in the New Year.

The first competition of the year is up and is based on the subject of Play.

I'm thinking about doing some based on the more technical aspects of photography, is this something people would be interested in or beyond what was expected for this?

I could go for more technical stuff.  I have some stuff from my old camera that would fit for long exposure (well, a minute at any rate) and so on.  Doubt I can do much with my current camera though .

New competition is up. Time Without Clocks

Hey DK,  just a thought here but why not post the new thread after the current one opens up for voting?  That way we could work on taking new photos instead of just waiting for voting to close.  If you're worried a new thread would take attention away from voting on the old one, perhaps you could simply announce the new theme when voting opens and still create the new thread a week later.

Last week was the first week I didn't announce the theme of the next competition when I opened for voting. Normally I do announce it, just last week was super busy.

If people want, I can start the new thread on the same day, this would then give two weeks for entries. Would this suit people more? My original fear was that with the thread open for two weeks, people would lose interest but if this would be better for folks, I can do that.

I actually wanted to get some feedback on how people think this is going and where it can be improved. Is the competition too long, too short, the themes too obscure/easy, that kind of thing. Let me know and lets make this better.
