You can't use the D-pad to quick switch on the Xbox? I assumed that's why you were limted to 8 quick slots.

I grew quickly bored of the game with about maybe 80 hours playtime. I finished the mage and thief questline, but I never even got around to choosing a faction before I'd had enough.

I've heard it's better with the kinect and that you can use voice commands in combat but don't have one.

Now that there's Kinect support I'm thinking about starting over (only played through the main storyline, really, the first time.)

Anyone want to tell me what I should play?  I did an elfy, little archermage dude last time.

I usually start by playing that exact character, then on replays go all out melee fighter, big swords/axes heavy armour, etc; or all out thief: sneak, pickpocket, daggers.

Forget the D-pad, why doesn't it have a radial menu like very other console game? Works perfectly well in Asscreed, for example.

I've been playing the Dawnguard DLC all weekend. I like how they change vampires, but the Vamp Lord is a bit useless.

Oh please. If you want to see Bethsoft at their peak when it comes to glitches, play Daggerfall. Even with all the patches and community-made unofficial fixes it's still a crapshoot. The original release version couldn't even be finished, the main quest would bug out completely.

What glitches have you ran in to?

I noticed two after playing +/-16 hours this weekend.

The first was entering a dungeon with no floor.  Existing and re-entering fixed it.

The second was life drain ni Lord Vamp mode not doing much of anything when Serena is your follower.

One game breaker (quest item INSIDE a wall after I force pushed the bad guy), one corrupted save, about a dozen system lock-ups that only seem to occur when entering what I call "VATS Mode", the list goes on and on, and that's ignoring the everyday skyrim glitches.

I have heavily modded Skyrim through nexusforums and created quite a few videos that show just how good Skyrim can look on PC.  Check our my videos on youtube under Channel:  Stimwalt

I've had few problems with glitches on the PC format. A couple of times, my character started moving way too slowly, even though he was not overburdened. A restart from the last save took care of that.

Yesterday, after 70 hours of play, I finished the main quest. (However, I'd spent half of that time doing side quests and just looking around.) But, there is still plenty of other quests to complete.
If you still hold the same views now as you did in high school, you probably should reexamine those views.

I've definitely found new interest in Skyrim on the PC. I previously owned it on the PS3, and now I see just how woefully inadequate consoles are. With the multitude of texture and graphic/lighting mods, Skyrim on the PC looks absolutely gorgeous, while my PS3 version looks like a Nintendo game in comparison.

The mods that add content (spell mods, alternate starts, dragon mods, monster mods, civil war mod, water mods, character model mods, etc) have turned this into a brand new game. I'm so glad I built this PC. ;D
