Yoo-hoo, MisterMarc.  Freedom toast.  Yummy freedom toast.

I know a lovely little place across town, a little Irish burger joint called "McDonald's." It's more in my price range.

Ha ha. You live in cobble hill tho, do you not?
My point being, that ain't a cheap neighborhood...

How u know that?!?

Yeah, I feel like it's better to put more money into living in a nicer neighborhood and less into eating at swanky restaurants.

Yeah, I feel like it's better to put more money into living in a nicer neighborhood where I can be a surly hermit and less into occasionally eating at not-really-all-that-swanky restaurants with nice people who only come to the city a couple of times a year.

FTFY.  :P  Tell your visiting friends that your other friends said hey.  Some other time, then, bud.  :)

One week from right this minute!  Woo-hoo!  The weather forecast still looks good.

This is good. I'm sorry I even brought it up henning, the place looks great. Thanks again.

Christ, these places are touchy.
We need to be there between 1130-1145, at least 5 of us, to keep the reservation. No, noon-noon:15 is not possible.
Should be doable tho, right?

I hope I can be there by then, though it could be a close thing.  Last fall, our bus was delayed and didn't get to the city until about 11:00, and I think I made it to the restaurant by just after noon.  In theory, I can be there by 11:45, but I hope you can grab up four others for sure.

ETA:  Ha, Mapkvest says it's a ten-minute drive from the theater where I'm being dropped off to the restaurant.  Now that's some funny stuff.  It's only 2.5 miles, which makes me want to walk down if I have the time; otherwise, I'll hop the F'in train.*  I do want to walk in one direction or the other, though; anybody want to walk back uptown with me?  I want to stroll the High Line again; they've opened another section since I was there in May with Mr. Slick.

*Hmm, come to think of it, if the restaurant is gonna Be Like That, maybe I'd better just plan to take the train and get there as soon as I can.

I think we'd probably be up for another Skyline stroll too.

Aw, boo.  :(  I know it's a heck of a long trip, though, so maybe you can focus your efforts on getting to the Reason Rally next month.
