I've been thinking about building something Moorish-influenced, but I can find no way to build decent-looking horseshoe arches. Any ideas?
There's, another example. See, here I'm now sitting by myself, uh, er, talking to myself. That's, that's chaos.

Here is my attempt at one:

It's a bit big, but you can adjust it to your needs somewhat.  I hope this helps!

Thanks, will see how it'll fit in.

Here's what's ready at the moment (it's all offline, will recreate it online once I figure it all out):

OK, 1.3.1 is out and I'd really like to try it out (once I actually have the time). Is there a plan for what we're doing with the server? There are a lot changes and additions. Are we just going respawn some unused areas of Nemoris Crux to get the new stuff, or are we starting over again?

Ideas, thoughts?

I've sent an email out to registered players on our server to seek feedback.

Is it wise to continue to get more maps? It seems that continually getting more and more of them is spreading people's builds very thin throughout the maps. If we decide to start fresh I would recommend that whoever wants to should have their stuff copied from the older maps to the new map. What are the future goals of the server?

I agree that I'd rather not add a new map if we can help it. I seem to recall, as I mentioned in my previous post, that it is possible to respawn certain chunks in order to get new features. Can we just use some chunks where no one has built anything and respawn them to get 1.3.1 stuff?

Yeah, I vote that we either re-spawn existing chunks or travel out a bit to unexplored areas to automatically re-spawn new chunks.  I think we should do this on Nemoris, as it seems to be the least explored map (with perhaps the exception of Keppler, but I don't think anyone ever goes there anymore).  Of  course, any one of us can just go exploring on any of our maps to find new chunks if we are willing to go far enough.

It might be fun if we went out together as an expedition to found a new colony, maybe cross an ocean or something, bringing only a minimum of supplies.  I would be interested in recording that actually, though if some of you would rather not end up on YouTube I understand :P (I don't seem to have a problem making a public ass of myself, though only a few people actually pay attention).

This sounds like the best idea to me. Although I also like MA's travel idea. We should schedule a date for it. :D

If we do the expedition thing we should keep going until we find a village and set up shop there.  I want to trade for emeralds!

I've never been on the server because I don't know if I ever made the whitelist.  I recently filled out the form and tried logging on but I think I had old server info.  I'd love to join in.  I usually end up having small far flung colonies on my SSP maps so I like the wandering out and forming a new colony idea.

Latest on 1.3
Quote from: Beastnode
Once the official 1.3 Vanilla build is released, we will be adding it to the "Manage add-ons" section of the game panel for those who want eagerly play on 1.3 first.  However, the issue is that Vanilla does not support plugins and it is actually CraftBukkit which supports this.  Sometimes CraftBukkit is slightly delayed following the Vanilla release, so until a CraftBukkit 1.3 build has been released, the plugins will not work.  But we will be checking the Bukkit site for updates and once a usable build is released, we will be adding it to the 'update game' button in the game panel so you all may update to CraftBukkit 1.3 via that method.

Yep, as we run Craftbukkit there will be a delay of a week or so until they have a build.
I've happy with installing the new version without a new world. Nemoris Crux is empty enough to generate new areas with some exploring.

BTW Last night I noticed that the portals to the Nether were working..well at least on 581d. I swear I did nothing to fix this long running problem... ???
