According to the OT verses used to claim a prophesy of a virgin birth, Mary could have been a virgin, or just too young to menstruate. She was somewhere between 9 and 15, depending on how miraculous a birth you want to attribute to the Holy Spirit. According to the Bible itself, Mary was under the legal age of consent, no matter how much wiggling and creative interpretation you engage in.
The gets into a tricky moral issue. If you claim morality is absolute and unwavering then God was a pedophile who committed statutory rape, even if it was done spiritually and not physically. If however, you concede that our modern definition of a legal age of consent is not applicable to first century Palestine, then you've accepted moral relativism and lost the ability to criticize Muhammad for his youngest bride.
The most troubling way to deal with this is to claim that because God did it, it was OK. This means God can rape a child and it won't be "wrong" because he did it. This also completely eliminates the miraculous nature of Christ being "without sin" as he is, by virtue of being God, without sin by definition. No act he committed would be a sin, regardless of if it conformed to Jewish law or not. If any act is justified because God did it, then Jesus could have eaten a bacon and scallop sandwich on the Sabbath and washed it down with a cup of human blood and he would have still been "without sin."
