Yeah.  Or the Star Trek transporter.  Most people think it's "move location_a.person_a  location_b.person_a"  But it's more like "copy location_a.person_a  location_b.person_b  &&  delete location_a.person_a".

I'm guessing uploading your mind would be similar.  Just try not to be the one getting deleted.

You can't avoid the transporter problem by staying out of the transporter. Everything you experience changes the person you were into a slightly different new you. The transporter is just an acceleration of the process. That ten year old that got this scar no longer exists.
