Stumbled across this, and thought it was pretty good. http://www.bspcn.com/2009/06/23/11-things-the-bible-bans-but-you-do-anyway/I've heard all of these before, but like the way he puts them. It also occurred to me that the one which says, "you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed" would ban most backyard gardens.

As a final note, I know that nine of these 11 cite the Old Testament, which Christianity doesn’t necessarily adhere to as law.To which I say: If you’re going to ignore the section of Leviticus that bans about tattoos, pork, shellfish, round haircuts, polyester and football, how can you possibly turn around and quote Leviticus 18:22 (“You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.”) as irrefutable law?

Yeah, come on! They're only bound by the parts of the old law they feel like being bound by!
You can find all the answers in the bible. The difficulty is choosing which of those answers is correct.
Proverbs 3:35The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.Proverbs 4:7Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.Proverbs 10:14Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.Proverbs 14:8The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.Proverbs 16:16How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!Proverbs 23:23Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.Ecclesiastes 9:16-18Wisdom is better than strength ... Wisdom is better than weapons of war.James 1:5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Genesis 38:9-10: “Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother’s wife, he wasted his seed on the ground in order not to give offspring to his brother. But what he did was displeasing in the sight of the Lord; so He took his life also.
